Alumni TestimonialsSee what some of our alumni are saying about the program:
Brenda is considered a trailblazer at Oregon Law - she is one of the first students who sought appropriate dispute resolution skills while earning her law degree, and translated those skills into a rewarding career. Today she assists The Trust for Public Land in conserving land across the country. Last year, the nonprofit organization protected more than 90,000 acres of land, valued at $450 million. Brenda's role is to help the organization assess legal, financial and reputational risk of land conservation projects, analyzing approximately 250 projects annually. Brenda says her conflict resolution skills come into play whenever she works with project staff across the U.S., many of whom are lawyers. "ADR skills have helped me be a better professional," said Brenda. "I can't imagine having a law degree without ADR skills." |
“There are numerous ways to solve problems other than going to the courts, or practicing violence (planned or unplanned). Violence is the language of ignorance and shortsightedness.”
